| In 1993 at the age of 24
with the vision of building homes and remodeling, Kevin Rocca started Rocca
Construction.
After graduating from the University of Iowa and working for several small
businesses, Kevin ventured out to give self employment a
try.
Before general
contracting Kevin worked the graveyard shift (11pm-7am) at the local Hy-Vee.
"I spent my nights stocking shelves and my days looking for work building them." Armed with carpentry
experience,
cabinet making skills, drafting skills, and common sense, he landed his first job with
his friend's mom who was remodeling a home in Coralville. "I must have
been doing something right, because when I was done with the job she offered to go into
business with me." After that my goal was to learn everything under the sun about the home
building business, and save some money to build my first "spec" home.
|
 |
| Kevin ran a crew of 3-6
employees from 93'-96' doing remodeling, carpentry, roofing, and siding. In 1995 Kevin added his new wife Kimberlee to the
team, "She added class to Rocca Construction's quality".
That same year they added more employees and expanded into home building and
new home finish carpentry. In 1998 they started to take on more full scale
projects and did more general contracting. That same year they phased out employees and added
more subcontractors. In 1999 Kevin and Kimberlee began building their first
parade home. |

| In 2001, they decided to focus on one
thing, "We'll stick to building homes. We'll build them better, give them
class and style
and sell them at an affordable price." The current focus for Rocca
Custom Homes is
Speculative and Custom home building. |

"Our mission is to
offer home buyers distinctive, energy-efficient, and affordable single
family homes. We are the Best at turning house plans into homes!"

4 children, Malachi (8), Sophia (6), Gianna(4), and Liona(2) in the city
of North Liberty. |
